Elder scrolls v game informer screenshots
The February issue of Game Informer is about to hit subscribers, and you can now see a first look at the new cover image. Bethesda was kind enough to walk us though the new game a few weeks ago, and we can't wait to share what we experienced with all of you. The cover features a first for Game Informer. While this digital version of the image shows off the stark, black styling, the real treat comes in the print version.
There you'll see a special ultraviolet coating that accentuates the symbol in the center, giving a striking, 3-dimensional texture to the image. What's that on the back cover? The strange language seen there offers the first hints of Skyrim's story, along with a unique tie to the singing in the recent teaser trailer. What does it say? The answer lies in translating the stanzas into English. You can solve the puzzle right now in our feature on Translating the Cover. It's the first installment of our month-long extravaganza of online Skyrim stories, all of which will be found on the game's hub page as they release, linked from the image below.
We hope you enjoy the mysterious cover. A major change in Skyrim is the removal of character classes. Players will not be asked to pick a specific class, but instead will level up skills on the fly. This potentially puts more importance on which race players pick. There are ten playable races in Skyrim - four types of Humans, three Elves, Argonians reptiles , Khajiit felines , and Orsimer orcs. It is nice to see a wide variety of appearances between the races as well as within each race.
The screenshots above look gorgeous and it's hard to find anything substantial to complain about. The previous game in the Elder Scrolls series, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion , came out to rave reviews back in , proving popular enough to be re-released on the PS3 in March of , and a Game of the Year edition in September of that year.
After this, fans began to eagerly anticipate the arrival of the next game in the franchise. The Spike Video Game Awards revealed a trailer for the upcoming game, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ,but perhaps more importantly, a release date of November 11, , was revealed as well. Since then, details have been surfacing regarding the upcoming game, such as what the story may be, the combat system , and the redesigned menus. Most recently, a Danish game magazine by the name of Game Reactor featured an interview with Bethesda that included two new screens that show more of the upcoming game.
This screenshot continues to show off the impressive graphics of the upcoming title, looking very much like a real pond one would find while exploring the nearby woods.
